North Wiltshire Crematorium marks 5th anniversary with open day
North Wiltshire Crematorium is commemorating five years of service to the community by opening its doors to everyone next month.
The crematorium is hosting a community open day on Sunday 29 October, between 10am and 1pm.
Visitors will have the chance to tour the facilities and take a walk in the beautiful memorial grounds and meet the crematorium team to find out more about the work they do and the exceptional care they provide to make each service uniquely personal.
Visitors can also, if they wish, take a tour of the crematory.
In addition, they can write a personal message and put it in the Letters to Loved Ones memorial post box which was installed at the site earlier this year, enabling people to feel a comforting sense of connection with those they have lost.
North Wiltshire Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 39 sites in England, Scotland and Wales, all set within beautifully-landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Katie Capel, manager of North Wiltshire Crematorium, said: “We feel proud, and privileged, to have been able to serve our local communities for five years, and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
“Our community open day offers an opportunity for anyone to come and visit our beautiful site and ask any questions they might have, in an informal setting, about what we do here and the support we provide to bereaved families.
“It’s a chance for people to find out about the wide range of farewell services we offer, the exceptional care we provide, and the ways in which we work with families to provide services which are uniquely personal to their loved one.
“Visitors can also discover how we support the bereaved in remembering their loved ones, through a wide range of memorialisation options.
“No appointment is necessary for the open day, and we very much look forward to welcoming local families to our lovely grounds.”
